Technical Director
Mr. Dennis Livingston is currently the Technical Director and President of MMBR Systems, LLC., an IWS company. Dennis co-founded MMBR in 2018 after spinning off from Ovivo. Dennis is a licensed environmental engineer with a background in chemical engineering. He specializes in membrane bioreactor (MBR) technology with a heavy focus on innovation.
Over the last 22 years, Dennis has helped to design, startup, and optimize hundreds of MBR systems ranging in size from 5,000 gallons-per-day (GPD) to 42,000,000 gpd. His teams delivered the first MBR system using rigid flat plate technology in the U.S. and the first system using (flexible) flat sheet modules.
Dennis has assisted with the design, piloting, and commercialization of 13 different membrane technologies for use in MBR applications. He is listed on 10 MBR-related patents, has been a contributing author to MBR texts, conducted over 50 full-scale MBR pilots, and written numerous papers on MBR technology.
In total, Dennis’ teams have helped to deliver 325+ wastewater treatment plants treated a combined 250,000,000 gallons per day of wastewater to some of the highest standards in the industry.
