Brian McMackin is the Vice President of Human Resources at Integrated Water Services, supporting all lines of the business including field services, technical and digital services, and product solutions. Brian brings with him nearly 40 years of HR and business leadership across a diverse assortment of industries both domestic and international.
Before joining IWS in 2023, Brian was the Vice President, Human Resources at Mark Young Construction, a private equity funded regional commercial general contractor servicing multiple industry segments including government, education, and retail construction. Prior to Mark Young Construction, Brian was the Vice President, Human Resources at Traemand, the kitchen installer for IKEA in the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom, and was instrumental in preparing Traemand for integration into IKEA post transaction.
Prior to Traemand, Brian held leadership positions for the Work From Home division of SYKES, an international BPO, supporting over 5,000 employees across the United States and Canada; Western Paper Distributors, a regional distributor of paper and janitorial supplies with four locations across three states; The Home Depot, a $350B hardware retailer; and Coldwater Creek, a $1B retailer of women’s apparel.
Earlier in his career, Brian was a successful business and operations leader in single and multi-location roles for JCPenney, Sears, Best Buy, Eddie Bauer, Wilsons Leather, and the County Seat; driving business results with consistent year over year gains in performance.
Brian is a thought leader across the full suite of HR disciplines, with an affinity for talent and organizational leadership and design. Brian’s operational background informs his perspective as an HR executive, facilitating a partnership that supports and drives business outcomes.
Brian has a Bachelor of Science in Finance and an M.B.A. with an emphasis in Finance from Walden University, and lives in Denver, Colorado.
