Vice President, Aeration and Mixing Technology, KLa Systems, LLC

Ryan Neville serves as the Vice President of Aeration and Mixing Technology at KLa Systems, LLC, an Integrated Water Services Company. With over 18 years of experience in the water industry, Ryan has developed comprehensive expertise in product design, testing, manufacturing, and operations, with a specialized focus on industrial mixing and aeration systems. His career with KLa Systems began in 2002, when he contributed to the commercial deployment of the Slot Injector aerator by mapping its hydraulic and oxygen transfer profiles.

In 2003, Ryan expanded his technical scope as a field service engineer at Nuvera Fuel Cells, where he refined natural-gas-powered cogeneration units for deployment in Asia. During this tenure, he managed the international deployment of fuel cell systems, overseeing field work and commissioning while collaborating with international companies to integrate systems and meet local regulatory requirements. His work also supported several units deployed at U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) locations. As a systems engineer, he was instrumental in resolving complex challenges involving materials design and cross-disciplinary issues encountered during manufacturing and field operations.

Returning to KLa Systems in 2007 as an applications engineer, Ryan played a pivotal role in the advancement of Slot Injector technology. Through iterative product development and careful materials selection, he implemented engineering improvements that enhanced system reliability and efficiency while reducing maintenance needs in diverse industrial environments. Ryan also spearheaded R&D efforts for new aeration products, including targeted testing on wastewater surfactants to ensure performance remained robust under real-world conditions.

Ryan’s technical leadership and business acumen led to his appointment as Operations Manager in 2018, where he oversaw all aspects of the business. Following the acquisition of KLa Systems by Integrated Water Services in 2023, he has continued to be a driving force in the company’s integration and ongoing success.
