IWS Partners With Major Water Investment Fund

January 13, 2020 Blog

Integrated Water Services, Inc. (IWS) recently closed a financing deal with Sciens Capital Management LLC (Sciens – an independent investment firm with a focus in water infrastructure) that will provide IWS capital and resources to support its growth and expansion in providing water and wastewater solutions throughout the US.

As IWS continues to grow its offerings and regional capabilities, the company will look to build its senior management team and work force with top talent to best meet the needs of its stakeholders – customers, suppliers, subcontractors, technology partners, employees, and shareholders.

IWS provides water/wastewater treatment and reuse solutions to private developers, casinos, municipalities, and public utility districts. IWS is the leading design builder of MBR treatment solutions in the western US including construction of California Title 22 Re-use facilities.

IWS was founded in 2003 to provide water and wastewater treatment solutions for customers utilizing the best available technologies to meet the ever changing and increasingly stringent regulatory requirements. IWS has designed and/or constructed over 400 water and wastewater treatment plants in the US.

Over the past five years, IWS has taken a leadership position in offering MBR technology solutions through Design-Build, CMAR, and construction services throughout the Western US. Our new financial partnership will support IWS expansion into new markets and offerings which includes our leasing and rental of MBR treatment equipment.

David Patton, CEO of IWS commented: “We are excited to announce our financial partnership with Sciens, which will support our long term strategy of expanding our base offering of DB, CMAR, and construction of water and wastewater treatment systems as well as to grow our MBR Rental and Leasing business. We will continue to provide “Best Value” offerings to our clients as we move forward in our new partnership with Sciens”.

Partner at Sciens Capital, Alex Loucopoulos, remarked, “Sciens is thrilled to partner with IWS, a respected leader in the wastewater treatment space. We are excited to continue to provide IWS customers with sustainable, long-term solutions for their wastewater treatment needs by utilizing the most advanced technology available. Moving forward, we will be working to strategically grow the business to keep up with increasing demand, while maintaining steady focus on our core values: sustainability, best-value solutions, and exceptional service.”

Sciens Capital is an established alternative asset management firm founded in 1994 that has invested over $2bn in highly specialized infrastructure and real assets strategies. Sciens makes investments in the water and wastewater treatment sectors specifically with the aim of helping to solve some of the biggest challenges facing the water industry today.
